Position: Certified Addiction Counselor (2 Positions)
Locations: Chrysalis House (Crownsville, MD); Avery House (Rockville, MD)
Hours: Full-time
Job Description:
Provides individual and group counseling to women with addiction and recovery issues.
Prepares treatment plans, with client participation, outlining treatment goals and activities.
Functions as part of the treatment team through attending staffing and treatment plan reviews to ensure appropriate clinical interventions and ongoing monitoring of clients’ progress.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in health services related program or equivalent. A minimum of three years of clinical experience, involving, but not limited to, individual and group addictions counseling, treatment planning, case management, and client assessment. Experience in counseling women; familiarity with SMART documentation.
Minimum requirements of State of Maryland DHMH Alcohol & Drug Trainee Status
Prefer State of Maryland DHMH Certified Associate Counselor-Alcohol and Drug or State of Maryland DHMH Certified Supervised Counselor-Alcohol and Drug.
