Lorene Lake - Executive Director
Lorene Lake leads the team of professionals at Chrysalis House, Inc. where the motto, Women in recovery …emerging free, soars. Since 1994, Ms. Lake's vision has been to ensure that the nonprofit organization will excel to greater heights as a leader of women's addiction treatment programs. She has directed the organization's growth to provide comprehensive, high quality assessment and treatment services. The treatment programs include aftercare and transitional housing.
Ms. Lake, a veteran human services professional, has more than 30 years of experience in her field. Her expertise encompasses line worker, administrator, and manager. As a manager, her passion was in addiction, crime, and women's issues. She is a University of Missouri graduate with a Master degree in education and a 2003 Weinberg Fellowship graduate.
Serving on several nonprofit organizations boards, Ms. Lake remains current on issues that affect women addicts and effective treatment methods. She is a member of the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations Board of Directors and the Anne Arundel Family and Children's Services Advisory Board.
